Before I received the scholarship from the Edison Foundation I spent a lot of time focusing on work so I could pay for my next semester of school. After receiving the scholarship, I have been able to cut back on my work hours and spend more time focusing on my studies. This semester I have seen a greater improvement on my grades and more importantly my knowledge intake. For this reason, I am very grateful to have been chosen by The Edison Foundation.

The Edison Foundation has truly been a fantastic gift to both myself and my family. A heavy course load for fall semester meant that my availability for work would be greatly restricted in comparison to the normal time commitment required to uphold my financial obligations. Additionally, my sister starting college meant that the financial burden on my family would be greater than ever. The Edison Foundation has not only lightened the burden of college tuition for my family, but has done so at the most imperative time. For this I am extraordinarily grateful and hope that The Edison Foundation will continue to grow to help others as well.
